About McFarlane Aviation Capital
Built by people who make the parts.
We are not a generalist fund. Every business we back operates in general aviation, the market McFarlane has served since 1972.
Fifty years of making it better
McFarlane started in a Kansas workshop with a straightforward frustration: the airframe parts available to general aviation owners were expensive, slow to source and too often no better than the ones they replaced. The response was to engineer them properly and price them honestly.
That approach turned into a PMA manufacturing operation, a 40,000-part distribution business, an MRO practice and a family of specialist brands serving Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft and homebuilt operators across the country.
McFarlane Aviation Capital is the investment arm of that group. It exists so partners, customers and long-term supporters can hold a stake in the businesses they already trust. With reporting that is clear, direct and free of the opacity that characterises much of private markets.
Engineering first
Every business we hold makes or maintains something physical. We invest where we can judge the work.
Long horizons
Aviation assets compound slowly and reliably. We hold accordingly, not on a fund clock.
Plain reporting
Capital in, value today, ownership, distributions. Stated without decoration.
